Several words after the last season…
For certain among people reading these lines will be found some person which on October, 26, 1986 were observing live Australia Grand Prix events and saw, how on Naijel Mansell's Williams, which was rushing to the first champion rank in his career, his left rear tire has blown up. We can only envy these people because eventually shades and details erase from memory, but the fact of participation in something extraordinary is never forgotten. I, as well as the overwhelming majority of present F1 admirers, 21 years ago didn't care a brass farthing for add races which in addition were carried out on the other planet's end.
But let's return to Adelaide-86. It is considered, that two decades ago Alan Prost with Ron Dennis have created a small miracle - obviously conceding to contenders from Williams in speed, could impose to them their game and came out from it winners. So, while talking about that remarkable Grand Prix for some reason people quite often forget that on Prost's victory altar McLaren has put his partner's Keijo Rosberg performance. For Finn Adelaide-86 was his last start in F1, and the victory looked quite possible. To the champion of 1982 it was suffice to put his own interests above interests of the team and soon after the distance's midpoint to change those "durable" tires which were "invented" by Dennis with Prost before the race. But Keijo has remained on the track, has retreated because of the blow-off and has left F1 without a victory. But he has left with his head high.
And now attention to the question. Can you imagine that doughy because of stress Rosberg's (Prost's, Pike's, Mansell's…) father from boxes of the Adelaide's track steadfastly watches the race, ready in any second to run to judges - and then to journalists - with the regular protest? I can't do that…
Another time generates other customs. I do not doubt that everybody saw, how on McLaren car of Lewis Hamilton, who rushed to the first in his career champion rank, gearbox's electronics has left in a deep corkscrew. Why this has occurred - is not our problem, but team's, in fact this is not the main thing. During that moment when the silvery machine with the two on its nose spinner was hardly running to Ferradura turn, and millions of fans all over the world were shouting head off - some from improbable disappointment and others because of boundless happiness - was suddenly found out, that high technologies, mullions-strong fees, managers, producers and promoters were not able to affect the most simple things. The character's strength and professionalism are checked in difficult situations - and it just has been one of them.
And while Mark Webber with Jenson Button with gloomy emotions came back in boxes, while Kazuki Nakajima acted heroically, at times overstepping the mark, while Heikki Kovalainen sadly looked at his broken car, but Nico Rosberg and guys from BMW Sauber almost have brought Kimi's fans up to a heart attack, two teams - four pilots and a several hundreds of the various staff - were doing their work, as they say - usual man's work.
Scuderia fairly had luck - the team has kept more reserves, without wasting nerves toward the season's end. Besides, the Brazilian track approached F2007 a little more, than MP 4-22. Such state of affairs has made Fernando to retire, has allowed to define Felipe's degree of loyalty (it has been painful to see the Brazilian during ceremony of rewarding. But he, as well as Keijo Rosberg in 86-th, was finishing the season as a winner) and has made Kimi, as a matter of fact, only the observer.
Remember this championship. Probably, a respectable elder will make his next dream a reality, and in the near future F1 seasons are waiting for us, where pilots of four or five teams will fight for a title. And even if it's true, the championship-07 has turned out extremely interesting and has presented us an outcome that can be envied by any Hollywood. It is a pity, that all this is already a history. And we have become witnesses of this history.

Lewis Hamilton has taken part in shootings of popular British automobile show Top Gear. On proving ground driving the family car Suzuki Liana McLaren's racer has tried to surpass record time of Stig - a mysterious test-pilot of Top Gear.
Other Formula 1 pilots: Naijel Mansell, Deimon Hill, Jenson Button and Mark Webber unsuccessfully tried to make this before him. Lewis could not beat Stig's result too, but has approached to him, despite of cool and rainy weather, close enough. Top Gear's directors have refused to declare Hamilton's time before the show will appear on TV, but according rumors the 22-years old British has shown the second result for all time of shootings.

Fernando Alonso
Fernando Alonso since his childhood dreamed to perform as McLaren member. Remember, one year ago about this only the laziest did not speak and did not write…
Personally I am inclined to believe him. Fernando has been really enamored in the team with which all three titles were won by his idol Airton Sanna. And in love temperamental Spaniards, probably, profess one principle: all or nothing. No compromises.
Only now it becomes clear, why two years ago Fernando has signed the contract with Ron Dennis under so strange circumstances and behaved as a conspirator. That was a special sort plot: probably, similar plots are weaved by husbands who prepare to leave their wedded wives for their mistress. Once, all of a sudden, our hero has put his family, i.e. Renault team before the fact: he said, guys, it was cool being with you, thanks for everything, however I'm somehow bored, I shall win one more title - and adios! - I'm attracted with a silvery color; I can do nothing with myself!
We now know what the end was. Life parallels can be continued, as cynically it will sound. The man that has moved to his mistress, probably, soon to his horror will realize that his new situation is for some reason even worse, than that, whence he with such difficulty was pulled out. Before that he was loved, and he knew that, and now he is simply used. And somebody else is loved. "Ah, what a blind man I was!" - such gentleman exclaims, from the hero-lover suddenly having turned to looser. If to assume, that this looser has the Spanish roots and southern temperament the plot can develop under the Shakespearian script: remember, there was one character with southern blood, and up to impossibility jealous…
Is it similar?
If only to admit, that Alonso, having appeared in McLaren, in the team of his dream, has felt offended up to depth of soul because as it was found out, Ron Dennis more loves ingenious boy Lewis Hamilton, at once it is clear the Spaniard behavior during the season. Only the person, whose hopes and ideals were, from his point of view, severely crushed before his eyes, can constantly complain to his Spanish press, that here he is offended. He can wabble in a pointed manner and spitefully during the race in Indianapolis, being not in forces to bypass Lewis, to blackmail Dennis in Hungary and as a result to hand in the team with the whole schmear to FIA hellhounds. The person, îñëåïëåííûé jealousy, as is known, is capable of all. Therefore Alonso, probably, was not too upset, when has found out that McLaren is fined on tens millions dollars, and, on the contrary, quite sincerely smiled, when the title was given not to the upstart Hamilton, but to cool Finnish guy Kimi whom, certainly, is immeasurably more worthy champion, even because he went by this day the whole six years.
Certainly, I exaggerate.
Certainly, everything is much more complicated, all the more so, as McLaren team and Ron Dennis personally behaved far from the cleverest way. That is why have lost both their money and the championship.
But Alonso has already learnt a lesson from the past season peripetias and in the future he will be more circumspect and rude: look how he today chaffers at once with several teams. Here he unequivocally tries to dictate his conditions, letting know, that he will not go on concessions: a question is who will become his next victim? Will David Kulthard be put out from Red Bull to pasture - for everything good, what he has made for them, - or will Mark Webber be forbidden under fear of bonus deprivation to overtake the Spaniard? Will Renault find money to satisfy the increased inquiries of their learner, operating by a principle "come back - we'll forgive everything"? However, Flavio Briatore has already let know, that he is not going to do the former protege's bidding and to sign with hem the contract for a unique season. Alas, we know far from everything that now occurs behind Formula 1 side scenes, but in one it is possible to be assured: managers of several teams tensely work, making search of variants, as it would be silly to miss such chance, for Alonso is really good racer. Though today many people already reflect on what kind of person he is.

I shall tell fairly: long time ago I have put an end to this Formula1 season.
First, I'm tired of infinite scandals and proceedings. Secondly, there is no even a hint on an intrigue, on real struggle … and both of the possible candidates on a champion title are infinitely unpleasant to me...
So, I repent, I even have missed several Grand Prix translations, having preferred a healthy sleep…
And here, as a long-awaited rain in the droughty summer - blessed race at bottom of Fudzi mountain! Japan in general is able to give emotions to fans. And this time it was obvious too much of them. I do not doubt that everyone who has become the witness of events has felt inflow of pleasure not once or twice, and feeling of sharp disappointment. And the question is only in what was more by the end of race… This Japan Grand Prix will be recollected long time.
Without dependence from that, Lewis will become the champion in China or Brazil, the main thing on the way to the title will be Japan. And Hamilton this time has not shown anything especial - but his contenders have done wholly of follies. Ferrari have not thought to put during torrential rain appropriate tires! It turned out they haven't received an e-mail from FIA!! Well and Fernando... Fernando has done troubles by himself and now he can be closely engaged in the future employment. No, ahead there are two more races and even Kimi has chances of final victory, but only arrant optimists can wait in present season for miracles which will surpass on scale happened on Fudzi.
All the Japanese race, beginning from Felipe Massa's sharp turn in a debut and finishing with the fight of the same Massa with Robert Kubica under a checkered flag, looked like a newcomer from the remote past and caused sharp attacks of nostalgia. This was in the nature of things in 70s and 80s, and without dependence from weather, but now...
Jenson Button three circles went without a front rear wing; Sebastian Vettel has overtaken Alonso, was in the lead, and then has pushed off from under safety car his own partner Mark Webber when both were taking places in the first three; Kimi Raikkonen four times for 20 final circles jumped out on a safety strip in the same turning movement; Adrian Sutil has appeared the eighth in the final formulary; three pilots have left struggle during last two circles...
And this list can be continued.
To put it briefly, the rain as it more often happens has mixed everything, that only it was possible. In the combination with the unknown almost to every of championship participants route and the season's final straight which has aggravated desire of success, the mixture has appeared explosive …

There now! It was needed only to enliven my blog and Ferrari's affairs and personally Kimi Raikkonen's have picked up. :
In Belgian stage Ferrari participated perfectly: they easily have driven the practice session, "launched" in the qualification, having taken the first line of the starting grid and without any fault have driven the race, having given contenders not the ghost of a chance. It was beautiful.
In general, Spa-Francorchamps - is my favourite route and my favourite stage of the championship. Eau Rouge turning, Les Combes chicane, entering it Mika Hakkinen has made his "overtaking of the century" in 2000…
… Well, and the last thing - some words about the most fashionable theme of the season. I've got an idea: what would happen if McLaren in the beginning of the season not woodpecked FIA on Ferrari (remember story with "a flexible floor")? Perhaps, and Scuderia then would not begin to conceive multistep operation against McLaren …

Three races - three winners. In Bahrain Felipe Massa gave no chances to his rivals – he has started from the pole position and finished the first.
Lewis Hamilton was the second and it was his third stepping on the podium in the three Grand Prix. Raikkonen was the third at the finish.
So after three laps of the Championship we have 3 winners and absolute suddenness of the further events. In general this course of the Championship is very interesting though I’d prefer Raikkonen to look more convincingly. It seems he is not satisfied with the results – I hope his craft and pride will suffice him to turn over the situation. Now we can say for sure: Felipe Massa and Lewis Hamilton are not going to remain aloof of the fight between Fernando Alonso and Raikkonen, so we have a great chance to witness the most interesting season.

Why? Why Alonso again? I was fun of McLaren for so many years, and all these years they were followed by series of misfortunes. Could it be true that now when this holier-than-thou joined that team, McLaren’s affairs will be on the mend? If he will become a champion in this season being a pilot of my EX favourite team, I’ll stop watching Formula 1.
I have to say that the results of the last rally week-end were unexpected for most of experts in Formula. Ferrari’s bosses Jean Todt and Luca Baldisseri are absolutely unanimous and more than ever categorical in their statements: “There is no use to deny that we are disappointed. The level of our performance was much lower that we were anticipating…”
And if Kimi Raikkonen has any justification for his poor performance – after problems that have emerged during Australian Grand Prix he had to limit the engine rpm and he couldn’t use his car potential in full, then Felipe Massa just with his own hands ruined the rally with lost pole-position in the first turning. And then he rushed out the route at all in frantic haste trying to save situation.
It only remains to hope that on forthcoming Bahrein Grand Prix that will take place on next week-end Ferrari will avoid that kind of mistakes and will improve the situation.

The first stage of The World Championship was finished sufficiently predictably: the winner is Kimi Raikkonenn the Ferrari's debutant in fighting conditions. Fernando Alonso, the active champion, was the second!
Generally the races went as if on the previously written script: Kimi started the first and finished the first too!
He was a little disturbed by the fact that the radio set in his car was broken and he lost the connection with his team. But Ferrari is too well debugged organism that this little trouble would become a serious problem!
We are waiting for continuation!

Bernie Ecclstoun is dissatisfied with the system of the points' charge in the World Championship. He considers that present scheme makes the races less interesting.
Now on the sum of "Grand Prix" the first eight racers receive the points by the system "10-8-6-4-3-2-1". This system was put in 2003 to avoid the early designation of the champion. Ekklstoun thinks that the main problem is that the difference between the first and second place is only 2 points! That's why the racers don't aspire to win at any price!
Ecclstoun considers that the championship should be won by the racer who gained the more victories. He wants to change the points' system in Formula 1 beginning from 2008.
Till 2003 the first six racers got the points at the end of the race by the system "10-8-6-4-3-2-1"!

The legendary circuit Spa-Francosham in Belgium come back again in the list of Formula-1 . According to the official press release FIA, the summer test laps will pass on this motor-racing circuit from 10th till the 12th of July, right after the Great Britain Grand Prix.
Something earlier, the July tests passed in Barcelona, but this year, the teams voted unanimously for Belgium. And this is not a wonder, for the last 3 years Spa-Francosham just once has invited to Formula 1, for the reason of the appearance of new stages on the list.
From the year 2005, the configuration of the circuit is changed a little bit because of the reconstruction of the paddock and pit-lane. That’s why the pilots have to get used with it. The last touch in the new appearance of the championship oldest circuit will be introduced in May.

On a press conference in Abu Dhabi, organized for the signing of contract for Grand Prix realization, Berny Ecclstone expressed his own point of view on the next Formula 1. It’ll be a twenty races project with some night laps. Berny Ecclstone said: “We have 5 countries, which would organize Grand Prix in their own area, that’s why I consider that twenty races project enough promising. Some years ago, we have spoken about night racing, so I think it would be nice to include in this very project such several laps in Japan or China, for example.

On the second testing day in Heres, Renault R27 proved to be faster than other competitors. The last ones was represented only by Davidson at the Super Aguri and by Nakadjima at the Williams. The best part of the day has been shown by Jancarlo Fizikella, which passed his best lap in 1:20.193. He was faster than yesterday with half second. An important constatation is that the italian racer passed 114 laps during the day withaut any troubles. Very gratifaying after the yesterday engine failure.
Meanwhile, Fernando Alonso familiarize himself with McLaren MP4/22, which has been presented two days ago at Valencia. But Kimi Raikkonen have to wait till he will drive a Ferrari F2007. The first three days this new model will be tested by Felipe Massa, and only after that it will be drived by racer from Finland. This is resulted from the Feipes high experience in Scuderia engineering. The engineers are very interested in obtaining an accurate information about F2007. Raikkonen could not familiarize himself with this car at the end of January in Heres, when the equips will be assembled for testing.

Within the next few years Formula-1 will undergo great changes.
In five years F-1 race cars will be filled up with spirit or with vegetable oil and they will not lose energy while braking because of compound electronics and decrease of tracking force. Also race cars will be equipped with turbine motors with direct fuel injection. But the quantity of the fuel for one race will be limited. In addition, the organizers are intending to forbid the cosmic material utilization.
All these are plans of International Motor Racing Federation that were represented in the end of last week. And these plans are already approved by the GPMA. They don't really know what will be after five years. But they consider that further technological expansions will cause new debates between teams and sport officials. In addition FIA wants to compel teams to share their new technologies. Federation leaders dream to work out new evident rules that will allow one team to buy know-how from another team. It remains only to wait for technical order acceptance.
Hmmm, F-1 race car using vegetable oil for me sounds at least like blasphemy. Ok, we shall see what we shall see.

Jean Todt: "I want to leave but…"
Jean Todt, the director of Ferrari, said that he wanted to leave the team but couldn't do it because of the changes in the team, to be more precise because of Schumacher's retiral and leave of Ross Brown (or a break they call "a leave"). "These times of changes prevented me from leaving the ship", said Todt in his interview to French newspaper Le Figaro. He added that if Michael, Ross Brown and Paolo Martinelli stayed with the team he would leave. Todt could quit and nevertheless continue to work with Ferrari but so far he preferred to stay with Ferrari. However, he may do it the next year if Ross Brown come back and take up his post. I don't believe you mister Todt…you can't live without Ferrari! It would be too boring for you!!

Mika Hakkinen drives a racing car again!
Today at 9 a.m. Mika Hakkinen returned to Formula 1 to participate in a formal event. He is taking part in test program for McLaren at Circuit de Catalunya to get acquainted with new Formula 1 car.
In hour and a half Hakkinen made 4 laps driving ÌÐ4-21. 38-years-old Mika is still in a very good shape.
This test drive was organized not only for pleasure, explained Mika Hakkinen. In his interview he said that it wasn't just for fun and that the testing program should be taken seriously. He added that one can't just drive, test and then end with saying a joke about that.

Ah, good old times… For me Mika is one of the drivers that I still like. I became fan of McLaren only because of him and I had been their fan until Alonso entered the team…

In 2005 he was one of 6 drivers who risked to participate in this race. In 2006 he lead his team to victory. In 2007 he won't participate in races at all… if only he will become one of the managers of the team… Nevertheless, it's Michael Schumacher, a 7 time champion of the world and a 5 times winner of US Grand Prix, who appears in United States Grand Prix ad inviting the fans to visit it the next year. This Grand Prix, however, may become the last one at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway unless a new contract will be signed.
The tickets to this race, which will take place on June 17, are already on sale.

When for some people this year's Grand Prix Brazil was just a pleasure, for the others it was like a farewell to Schumacher.
Still, he is not the only one to say good-bye to Formula 1. Michelin is planning to pull out of Formula 1. The tyres of the French company helped the Renault team to win twice Constructors Cup and in Individual Championship. And now Bridgestone is to become the sole tyre supplier. Some of the sponsors also quit F1. The tobacco firm BAT contract with Honda runs out. Renault also parts with its permanent sponsor Mild Seven. Engine suppler Cosworth wanted to stay with F1 but didn't manage to sign the contract with any team so it leaves F1 at least for some time. Michael Schumacher is the only driver who announced his departure officially. However, the similar decision may also take such drivers as Tjago Monteiro, Scott Speed, Christian Klien, Pedro de la Rosa, Yamamoto Sakon, and Robert Doornbos. Juan Pablo Montoya and Jak Villeneuve had already left Formula 1.
Some drivers leave not Formula 1 but the team. Thus, Kimi Raikkonen change McLaren for Ferrari when Fernando Alonso takes his place in McLaren. After two years with Williams, the Australian Mark Webber quits it for Red Bull.
In short, Formula 1 will be different in the next season not only because it lost Schumacher…

I've never been a fan of Michael Schumacher. Nevertheless, I have to acknowledge the fact that he is great!
Yesterday he once again proved it to be true having won a beautiful and telling victory (although it was a little bit unexpected) at China Grand Prix.
Ferrari team and Schumacher successfully ran the race although on Saturday after qualifying the sixth on the wet road it seemed that this race was lost for him…Also, a hope to win a title of champion of the world seemed to be lost provided that his major rival Fernando Alonso gained the right to start off the pole and the Michelin tyres were much better in these weather conditions than Bridgestone. Properly speaking, the beginning of the race promised no difficulties for Renault. Alonso and Fisichella started from the first and second positions and were leading while Schumacher stuck on the sixth position…
At some instant Alonso gained 25seconds advantage over Schumacher which is more than the time of full pit stop. However, a number of errors, insufficient speed, and bad luck changed the situation for Renault for the worse. Ferrari and Schumacher, on the contrary, displayed efficient work at pit stops and made right decisions concerning tyres. Schumacher was confident and rode without errors.
With two stages left in this season (I remind once again that it is the last season for Schumacher) both contenders to the title Schumacher and Alonso have equal number of points (116). Now, we don't have to wait for a long time - less than 3 weeks and only two races (Suzuka and Interlagos) are left to the end of this competition.
